Room check
- The room check is a regular inspection of the Dormitory in order to assess the technical and hygienic condition of the dormitory rooms.
- Room checks are carried out by University staff (by the Dormitory Management and the Department of Maintenance) - and potentially by students delegated by the students' representatives - on a monthly basis. The students are informed about room inspections at least two days before the inspection (except in the cases specified in point 2.4 of the House Rules).
- The student does not need to be in his/her room at the time of the room check.
- The room check procedure:
- The room check staff will check
- the technical condition of the room;
- -the integrity and cleanliness of the furniture;
- -the electrical devices (whether they have been previously checked);
- -the general tidiness of all rooms (rooms, halls, toilets and bathrooms), the cleanliness of floors, tiles, toilets and taps;
- -the hygiene and cleanliness of the fridge.
- If the student is in the room, he/she can report any technical or other problems that he/she experiences.
- If the room check reveals hygiene shortcomings or technical problems, the room occupants will be notified by the management of the Dormitory in the manner specified in the House Rules.
- The room check staff will check
- In accordance with point 2.4 of the House Rules:
-
- "The rooms are cleaned by the residents themselves and they are responsible for their cleanliness. The room cleanliness can be checked by the dormitory management and the buildings caretaker on pre-arranged days. If the rooms condition does not meet hygiene and aesthetic requirements, residents will receive a written warning. After a written warning, the dormitory management and the buildings caretaker may carry out random inspections of the room without prior agreement. Serial unsatisfactory conditions, after four occasions, may result in expulsion from the dormitory.
